Tracey Ellis OTR/L, MPH, Founder/DirectorTracey Ellis is a licensed occupational therapist and a board certified disability analyst licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Tracey received a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy with a minor in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, and later went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Health, specializing in Maternal and Child Health. After completing the final phase of her training at Georgetown University Medical Center, Tracey settled into Washington, DC, where she has practiced in the field of pediatrics for over 15 years.
Tracey has experience in rehabilitation, long-term care, neonatal intensive care, school systems, assessment, and research. While working in the area of brain injury research, Tracey gained expertise in the arena of cognitive rehabilitation and functional assessment. She has extensive experience conducting evaluations and providing treatment to students with emotional disturbance and learning disabilities, and periodically guest lectures at local universities.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Tracey has been involved in advising numerous non-profit organizations geared towards improving the health and welfare of women and children. She has also served on the state and national boards for the District of Columbia and American Occupational Therapy Associations, and is awaiting confirmation by the Health Professional Licensing Administration to the Board of Occupational Therapy. Ms. Ellis founded Ellis Therapeutic Consultants in 1999.
Richard P. Fleitas, Psy.D., Founder/Director
Dr. Richard P. Fleitas is a licensed clinical psychologist in the District of Columbia and Virginia. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Fairfield University in Connecticut. He later received a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, DC Campus.
Dr. Fleitas has extensive experience in psychotherapy as well as in cognitive, achievement, personality, and neuropsychological assessment with children, adolescents, and adults. He has conducted numerous assessments in DC schools, held presentations on evaluation and Special Education, and regularly consults with schools on planning decisions for students in the Washington, DC Public School System.
In 2006 Dr. Fleitas founded Psychological Assessment Solutions (PAS). PAS provides assessment, intervention, and consultation to schools in the greater Washington, DC area. Dr. Fleitas also maintains a part-time private practice in Rosslyn, VA.
